The Niger Delta activist and traditional ruler, Asari Dokubo, has made fresh remarks concerning Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections, particularly commenting on emerging political alliances and developments within the NDC.

Dokubo made the comments during a video from 18:49 shared on Facebook on Saturday, May 30, 2026, where he spoke about opposition politics, voter influence, and the strategies of parties preparing for the next presidential election.

In his statement, he referenced former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, while discussing the role of the NDC and its efforts to build support across different regions of the country.

He said, “The man they have recruited is Rabiu Kwankwaso, to deceive the Muslims of our time,” alleging that Kwankwaso’s political role within the party is intended to appeal to Muslim voters. The remark reflects Dokubo’s personal opinion and assessment of the political strategy he believes is being pursued.
