Former member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as one of Nigeria’s most strategic politicians, saying those hoping to defeat him politically must first learn from his style of politics.

Jibrin made the remark during an interview from 1:09 on TVC News while discussing Tinubu’s political influence and the growing conversations around the 2027 general elections.

According to him, Tinubu possesses a rare understanding of coalition building, grassroots mobilization, and political survival that has kept him relevant for decades in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Speaking during the interview, Jibrin said, “Sometimes I use to say ‘if you want to defeat Tinubu, go and take lectures from Tinubu.’”

The former lawmaker explained that Tinubu’s political strength lies not only in his ability to build alliances but also in his understanding of timing, strategy, and loyalty within the political system. He argued that many politicians underestimate the president’s influence across different regions and political structures in the country.
