In a recent video from 00:26 on Monday, May 11th 2026, Joshua Iginla has once again sparked conversation over the growing migration trend among Nigerians, warning citizens against relocating abroad without proper planning or financial stability.

During a sermon to his congregation, the popular cleric criticized the increasing number of Nigerians spending huge amounts on foreign education and temporary visas while neglecting investment opportunities at home.

“You want to go and do masters with almost 50 million. Why?” Iginla asked during the message. According to him, many young Nigerians are investing heavily in relocation plans without considering how the same funds could be used to build businesses and create sustainable wealth within the country.

“You can use 50 million to start something here that can change your life and visit that abroad and come back,” he stated.

The preacher stressed that many people wrongly assume countries abroad are waiting to provide jobs for immigrants. Referring particularly to the United Kingdom, he said some migrants are shocked when the reality abroad differs from their expectations.

“You are not expecting UK to employ you. UK is telling you to come back,” he said.

Iginla also addressed the frustrations many Nigerians express toward foreign immigration policies, arguing that some people fail to prepare adequately before traveling.

“You say wicked, you wicked your head too,” he remarked, drawing reactions from members of the congregation.

The cleric further claimed that not every experience abroad is glamorous, noting that some migrants struggle socially and financially after relocation.

“These whites that you see, some of them you greet them, are they answering you?” he asked.

He also criticized older Nigerians who retire from government service and immediately seek to relocate using temporary travel permits.

“You are retiring from a federal government job, you want to japa with visiting visa,” he said.
