Nigerian lawyer and members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo has taken to his official X account on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 to react after NDC chieftain, Obunike Ohaegbu denied saying that Peter Obi demanded money from him.
According to Channels TV, Ohaegbu stated that he didn’t tell Kenneth Okonkwo that the former governor of Anambra state collected the sum of N10 million from him. He made the clarification after Peter Obi accused Kenneth Okonkwo of defamation.
Reacting, Kenneth Okonkwo insisted that Obunike Ohaegbu sent him an evidence of the payment that Peter Obi asked him to make.
Kenneth Okonkwo also stated that the payment was made in order to fund the campaign of Peter Obi.
According to Kenneth Okonkwo on his official X account;
“Obunike sent me the evidence of the bribe that NDC told him to pay through Peter Obi. He told me Peter Obi needed the money to fund his political campaign”.
