Nigerian Journalist, Agba Jalingo has decided to recount how the government violated his human rights by keeping him in the boot of a car for 26 hours, in a bid to prosecute him for trying to remove ex-president, Muhammadu Buhari from his office.
Agba Jalingo who made such revelation during an interview with NEWSCENTRALTV few minutes ago, stated that he was persecuted rather than prosecuted by the government because he never committed a crime that warranted his arraignment in the Federal Court.
According to Agba Jalingo, he had to go through a grueling arrest in 2019 where he was locked up in a car and was moved from Lagos State to Calabar, adding that;
“I spent 26 hours in the boot of a car, handcuffed in a deep freezer, kept in a police detention for 34 days and faced an unnecessary trail for 3 years for terrorism and an attempt to overthrow Buhari and Governor Ayade, wasting money on things that were not necessary. And then a few years after I came out of jail, they came back again to carry me to Kuje.”
Agba Jalingo then revealed that he is not a criminal and he was just doing his job as a journalist before he was arrested….Seë_Morë
