Bello El-Rufai, the son of Nasir El-Rufai and a member of the House of Representatives, has stated that he is concerned about the difference in prison sentences given to two people convicted of terrorism. El-Rufai said a Boko Haram terrorist named Useni Ismail was recently convicted by a High Court and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
In a video shared by TV Platinum from 1:53, El-Rufai said that, in contrast, Nnamdi Kanu was convicted last week and given a life sentence for terrorism-related offences. El-Rufai stated that he does not understand why one terrorist received a 20-year sentence while the other received a life sentence.
In El-Rufai’s words: “There was a conviction recently of a Boko Haram terrorist. I believe his name is Useni Ismail, he was convicted for 20 years by a High Court, he was a Boko Haram terrorist.
