Human rights activist Efemene Umukoro has provided an update on the death of suspect Mene Ogidi who was killed by a police officer in Delta State, an incident that has continued to draw public attention.

Umukoro spoke during an interview from 4:40 on News Central TV, where he addressed concerns about the handling of the deceased’s body and the steps taken by authorities after the incident. The case involves a police officer identified as Nuhu Usman.

During the interview, Umukoro said, “The corpse is in government mortuary in Warri. The corpse is very safe and the state police command has asked the family to come for autopsy.” His statement confirms that the remains of Mene Ogidi have been preserved and that arrangements are being made for an autopsy.
