The lawmaker representing Abia state at the National Assembly, Obi Aguocha has been seen telling the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass that he also has the right to speak.
This was contained in a viral video from 2:35 that was shared on the official X handle of THE CABLE on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
This is coming while he was trying to make a case on the issue of the health of Nnamdi Kanu at the National Assembly.
In the viral video that surfaced online, Obi Aguocha said the health of Nnamdi Kanu is deteriorating and he has not been given the privilege to go for treatment.
He said he has written a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on the matter but it has not been acknowledged.
However, in the video, while he was speaking, Tajudeen Abass told him to sit down and come to his office to see him.
In the video, the two lawmakers were seen arguing over the matter.
Here is what the Speaker said;
“Step the matter down and see me if you want any action concerning any letter you’ve written to me. This is not the right time, so sit down”.
Here is what Obi Aguocha said;
“Mr Speaker, I have been to your office and I have also submitted a letter. The house rules allow me to bring an issue of privilege to this house and the attention of Mr. Speaker. You don’t sit me down, I also have the right to speak”. See, More, Here>>>
