Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, declared that the recent Israeli Defense Forces operation in Doha the capital of Qatar that resulted in the death of several leaders of the Palestinian nationalist Sunni Islamist political organization, which is known as Hamas could pave the way for ending the ongoing war in Gaza that resulted in the death of tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
According to a report by the Jerusalem Post on Tuesday, 9 September, 2025, the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu while speaking at a US Embassy event in Jerusalem, stated, the days when terror leaders enjoyed diplomatic immunity were over, framing the latest Israeli airstrikes in Doha as a direct response to a devastating day of violence.
He also cited the deaths of four Israeli soldiers in Gaza and a brutal terrorist attack at a Jerusalem bus stop that killed six civilians, both of which Hamas claimed responsibility for, announcing that he convened the heads of Israel’s security organizations, and ordered a surgical precision strike on the terrorist chiefs of Hamas.
In his words, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “The days when terror leaders enjoyed diplomatic immunity are over. This strike could mean the end of the war in Gaza. Israel has accepted the proposal put forward by President Trump, beginning with the immediate release of all our hostages from the hands of Hamas, after this, the Middle East could begin to work on the expansion of peace in the region.”
“We received the order from President Trump to end the war and bring all of the hostages home. Yesterday, four of our soldiers were killed in Gaza, and six Israeli civilians were brutally murdered at a bus stop in Jerusalem in a terror attack. This morning, Hamas proudly took responsibility for both of these actions,” the Israeli Premier stated.
The Israeli leader, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went further to accuse the targeted leaders of planning the October 7th unexpected terror attacks initiated by the resistance group, Hamas against the territory of Israel, and the good citizens of Israel that resulted in the death of several innocents civilians, and ensure Israel’s security, subsequently celebrating the violence, which was the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
He also directly linked the military action to a diplomatic proposal from President Donald Trump of the United States of America, asserting that the strike could be a decisive step toward concluding the conflict.
