In a recent interview on Arise TV, former federal lawmaker and top politician, Senator Kabir Marafa, reflected on his past working relationship with Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, describing her as a woman of goodwill and generosity.
Marafa, who served alongside her in the Senate for eight years, recounted moments that highlighted her kindness and support for noble causes.
Speaking on the program, Marafa said, “The wife of the president and the first lady of the federal Republic of Nigeria was my colleague for 8 years and we were with her and let me quickly say this, I thank her so much. She has a good heart.”
The senator emphasized that his admiration for her stems not only from her political acumen but also from her personal gestures that left a lasting impression on him.
He recalled a specific incident when he introduced motions aimed at supporting communities in need. According to Marafa, the First Lady was among the first to step forward with tangible assistance.
“When I came up with the motions to support the open and windows of the far state, I would never forget she was the first person that contributed 1 million naira almost instantly,” he revealed.
Marafa’s remarks shed light on the First Lady’s willingness to act swiftly in support of causes she believes in.
For him, her immediate financial contribution symbolized not just her wealth but her character and readiness to lend a hand when it mattered most.
The senator’s words also painted a picture of camaraderie shared among lawmakers, where beyond political debates, acts of kindness and solidarity often stood out.
His testimony about her generosity comes at a time when the role of the First Lady continues to draw public attention.
By recounting his personal experience, Marafa sought to highlight her values and character beyond her current position as the wife of the president.
