‎‎Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that the delay by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is a planned move, as reported by Daily Post on Friday, 29 August, 2025.

‎He explained that the two opposition leaders are acting with caution.

‎Eze, who is also a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), told Daily Post that their reluctance is not a sign of weakness.

‎According to him, it is both strategic and innovative.

‎He said Atiku and Obi are working behind the scenes.

‎Their goal, he explained, is to ensure that the ADC is properly structured before they openly join.

‎Eze claimed that the leaders want the party’s ideology and vision to match their own plan for Nigeria.

‎He accused President Bola Tinubu and the APC of plotting to destabilize the ADC.

‎He argued that Atiku and Obi are delaying their formal entry to checkmate such moves.

‎According to Eze, the main focus of Nigerians now is to remove what he described as Tinubu’s visionless administration.

‎He believes Atiku and Obi share this same priority with millions of citizens.

‎“The two leaders’ reluctance or rather delay in joining ADC formally is both strategic and innovative.

‎Their move is to checkmate the plot of Tinubu and his APC hatchets to destabilize ADC before its take off.

‎September both two leaders will formally join ADC knowing very well that ADC is the only path road and key in rescuing Nigeria from her present messy situation under Tinubu,” Eze said.
