John CDO Ikeotuoye, a gospel music crusader and business mogul, has alleged that Peter Obi once refused to assist football legend Kanu Nwankwo when he needed money for heart surgery. According to John, Obi told Kanu that he would not use his money for such a purpose.
In an interview with Talk True Podcast from 1:09:26, John said after Obi’s refusal, Kanu turned to Bola Tinubu for help. He said Tinubu provided the financial support that enabled Kanu to undergo the surgery.
John also said that Obi’s current donations to hospitals are not genuine acts of kindness but rather political moves to promote his ambition of becoming president
In John’s words: “When Kanu Nwankwo had a heart problem, Peter Obi was one of the first people Kanu Nwankwo approached to pay for his surgery. Peter Obi told him that that is not what he will use his money for. Kanu came to Lagos State to meet Bola Tinubu, a Yoruba man, and he paid for his surgery”
