Public Affairs Analyst and politician Blessing Oladeji has said she would rather support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, citing concerns about Bello’s track record.
Oladeji made the remarks during an interview from 0:45 on Volume Pod, where she assessed political leadership choices in Nigeria while reflecting on past administrations, including that of former President Muhammadu Buhari. Her comments come amid ongoing national conversations about leadership quality and the criteria voters should prioritise when evaluating candidates.
In the interview, she stated, “I will prefer Tinubu to be my president compared to having Yahaya Bello who is a young man to be my president because the data on him is very bad and what you can see on ground if you go to Kogi State, you will be wondering what is the advantage in the age.” The statement underscores her preference for experience over youth, while also pointing to what she described as unfavourable records associated with Bello.
