Senator Anthony Siyako from Gombe South shared his view on the role of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a report by Vanguard on Sunday July 27 2025, Siyako said Wike isn’t a threat to the party because PDP isn’t run by one person.
He explained that PDP is built by many people working together, not controlled like a private business.
According to him, Wike is only one person in a system that depends on teamwork.
He also said other parties were formed by groups meeting at the top, so they break easily.
PDP, he said, is made up of many people working together and has been growing from the grassroots for years.
His statement comes as some worry that Wike’s bold behavior could create problems inside the party. But Siyako dismissed those fears, saying PDP is united and strong enough to handle any noise.
Here’s what he said,
“Wike is a single person in the whole system. If PDP were a one-man business, he would be a problem. PDP is not a one-man business. I have not seen any party that has consolidated and grown from the root like PDP; all others are meeting points of some people along the way, and therefore, to disperse is easier.”
