According to a report by The Sun on the 26th of July, 2025, popular actress and media personality Bisola Aiyeola has spoken openly about her evolving perspective on marriage, motherhood, and the pressures society places on women. The Big Brother Naija alum, now 39, shared her thoughts on the Dear Ife podcast, hosted by Ifedayo Agoro, in what many have described as her most introspective conversation yet.
The mother of one explained that she has come to embrace her single status—not out of bitterness or heartbreak, but from a place of clarity. Her focus, she said, is now on peace, emotional balance, and financial freedom, rather than the social expectations that come with being married.
According to her, “I’m not really keen on marriage any longer. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it’s okay too. I gave myself an age marker; I don’t want to have babies after I clock 38. I have passed 38 and have no man yet, so I am just here and not actively looking forward to it. I think I have gotten used to being alone. I love, love; I still do. Love is sweet, it’s nice, and it’s a beautiful thing, but reality is a different story,” she stated.
She clarified that her disinterest in marriage wasn’t due to deep emotional scars but rather a gradual realization that many marriages today no longer uphold the values once associated with the institution. For Bisola, the idea of love remains beautiful, but she now understands that commitment requires more than romantic feelings—it demands trust, peace, and compatibility.
Bisola also emphasized her priorities have shifted over time. For her, financial security and the ability to live life on her own terms outweigh the need to conform to societal norms. She expressed a desire to travel, enjoy life, and build wealth—with or without a partner.
