Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has expressed frustration over how the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, treats him, as reported by Daily Post on Thursday, 3rd July, 2025.
Amaechi said he is confused about why Wike no longer respects him, despite their shared political history.
Amaechi openly challenged Wike, he suggested they walk together from Abuja to Port Harcourt without any form of security or aides.
He believes this will show who is more accepted by the public.
Amaechi noted that he played a major role in Wike’s rise in politics.
He said he is not only older than Wike but also more experienced in political matters.
He questioned why someone he once mentored would now show him disregard.
“Let the Minister of the FCT come, let’s take a walk from the airport to Port Harcourt, no police, no army, nothing, just the two of us to show who is more accepted by the public,” he said.
