According to a report by Fox News from 2:53 , on Thursday April 16, 2026, as the United States ramps up its Economic Fury campaign against Tehran, a leading sanctions strategist is warning that the Islamic Republic is rapidly approaching a fiscal dead-end that could trigger the total collapse of state stability.

Miad Maleki, a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), suggests that the regime’s ability to sustain itself is now measured in weeks, not years.
