FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership style, highlighting his courage to make decisive choices without external interference from any cabal.
Speaking during a Channels TV media coverage from 1:12:05, Wike expressed unwavering support for the president based on his leadership qualities. “Whether you like it or not, I will give all my support to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because he has shown that he has that leadership, and he has that courage,” the minister declared.
Wike emphasized the absence of behind-the-scenes manipulation in Tinubu’s administration, contrasting it with previous leadership styles. “There’s nothing like cabal under Tinubu; there’s nothing like that. He’s not a leader you discuss something with here, and before you leave, something else has happened, and they begin to ask, ‘Who is in charge of the country?'” he stated.
The FCT Minister praised Tinubu’s decisive approach to governance, describing him as a president who takes clear ownership of his decisions. “This is a president that’s in charge; he takes decisions. He will always tell you, ‘I have taken my decision; I pray to God to help me that we will succeed, but for the decision, I have taken it,” Wike explained.
According to the minister, President Tinubu maintains clarity in his communications to avoid confusion about his positions. “He said, ‘I will not be a president that you ask, “What did the president say?” I have said something, and this will enable all of us to key in and make sure that decision works,'” Wike quoted the president.
The FCT Minister encouraged Nigerians to embrace the administration’s vision, expressing confidence in the country’s potential under Tinubu’s leadership. He called on citizens to believe in the dream and work together with the president to begin the real process of building the Nigeria of their aspirations.
Wike highlighted the transformative nature of current infrastructure development, describing it as more than basic construction projects. He explained that the Renewed Hope infrastructure initiatives represent efforts to connect destinies, unlock potential, and establish both physical and digital foundations for national transformation.
The minister argued that robust infrastructure remains essential for achieving Nigeria’s aspirations, noting that even critics acknowledge improvements in this sector. He contended that the strongest opponents of President Tinubu would agree that conditions are improving regarding infrastructure development across the country.
