According to DAILY POST, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to formally align himself with the ruling party if he truly sees himself as a political asset.

Eze’s remarks come in response to a recent interview granted by Wike, where the minister took a swipe at former Transportation Minister Chibuike Amaechi.

Amaechi, during his 60th birthday event, had expressed frustration over the country’s current economic climate, attributing it to the policies of the current administration.

In a strongly worded statement from Port Harcourt, Eze criticized Wike’s political conduct, suggesting that his recent actions lack integrity.

He accused Wike of undermining the values of democracy during the last general election and claimed that his tactics in Rivers State damaged the credibility of the democratic process.

Eze expressed doubts about Wike’s loyalty, highlighting his apparent indecisiveness between parties and questioning his moral standing.

He accused the minister of switching allegiances to suit personal interests while ignoring the damage caused to his former party.

He further argued that Wike’s controversial moves and frequent political outbursts show a lack of principle, and warned that prominent APC figures are prepared to challenge his influence if he formally joins the party.

“The burden of morality, blackmail, betrayal, and backstabbing is slowly but steadily drying Wike up; he is suffering from dementia.

“Amaechi doesn’t have his time, Amaechi is refined, not habitually arrogant and treacherous,” the APC chieftain stated.

Eze also alleged that Wike’s actions during the 2023 presidential election contributed significantly to the widespread hardship currently being experienced across the country.

He blamed the minister for enabling policies that have deepened economic hardship for many Nigerians.
