Mama Ado, a veteran Yoruba movie actress, has recently shared the harsh realities of her life since stepping away from the Yoruba movie industry. In a candid interview with actor Kunle Afod, posted on his official Instagram page, Mama Ado opened up about the struggles she has been facing and the meager means by which she sustains herself.

The actress revealed that since her departure from acting, she has been grappling with hardships and financial difficulties. She disclosed that there are times when she resorts to eating kola nuts with water just to survive. The revelation paints a grim picture of the challenges faced by some veteran actors who have faded from the limelight.

During the interview, Mama Ado expressed her appreciation for the support she receives from fellow actors but also voiced her concerns about the manner in which some visit her. “I’m not saying that actors should not come to check on me, but they should not come here to complicate issues by bringing crowds to see me,” she stated.

The actress further elaborated on her daily struggles, saying, “I have been suffering since I stopped acting, sometimes I eat kola nuts with water to survive. I barely have anything to eat every day, it is only when some actors come around to give me a little amount of money that I’m able to feed myself.”
