Nigerian politician and former Lagos State governorship aspirant, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has expressed strong opposition to any potential presidential ticket involving Peter Gregory Obi and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai in the 2027 elections.

Gbadamosi voiced his stance through a post on his verified X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Sunday.

His reaction followed online speculation suggesting that Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, might consider running alongside El-Rufai in the next general elections.

In his remarks, Babatunde Gbadamosi stated that he would withdraw his support for Peter Obi if he were to select El-Rufai as his running mate instead of Datti Baba-Ahmed.
