According to Guardian Nigeria, The Labour Party has warned some of its leaders to stop saying things that could make people angry and go out to protest.

This warning was mainly directed at Mr Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti.

The party said it does not support any meeting or speech that could make Nigerians fight or cause trouble.

It said Nigeria is going through a very hard time and everyone must be careful with what they say and do.

This was made clear in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr Arabambi Abayomi.

Dr Abayomi said, “The leadership of the Labour Party wishes to state that it is allowed of every Nigerian to hold the government responsible for its laco of ability to live up to the expectation. However, statements that are causing and capable of falling the nation into unneeded fire, mainly by the political class, must be left out.”

He said that people have the right to speak up when things are not going well in the country.

But he warned that no one should say anything that could make the country more weak or unsafe.

The Labour Party said it does not agree with recent comments made by Mr Peter Obi’s former running mate.

According to the statement, “The Labour Party under the able leadership of Barr. Julius Abure, for that reason, wishes to remove itself from the sad and wrong comments by its former vice presidential candidate.”

The party said these comments were not only wrong, but could also cause problems in Nigeria.

They believe that such comments can push people to act in anger, which can lead to attack.

The party also made it clear that it has accepted the judgement of the Supreme Court on the last election.

Dr Abayomi added, “For the interest and peace of the nation, the Labour Party accepted the judgement of the Supreme Court, not because we were pleased but because of the decision of the Supreme Court. The party has since moved on.”

This means that even though the party was not happy with the decision, it chose to accept it to keep peace in the country.
