Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has alleged that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is simultaneously serving both the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a recent interview with Channels TV from 3:03, Ndume suggested that Nigerian politicians frequently change allegiances based on personal interests rather than ideological commitments. “Politics is about interest now; if people see that their interest will not be served very well in a particular place, they move, especially in Nigeria, where politics is more of a platform and not ideology. So people can move around, and it doesn’t break their conscience,” Ndume stated.

The senator contrasted this trend with politicians who maintain unwavering party loyalty: “But there are some people that are not even ready to move around and they stick to one party. There are some people that have been in PDP since day one and they have never moved. People like Chief Bode George; Nyesom Wike has never moved and changed his party, but now you can’t say where he is, one leg is in PDP and the other leg is in APC.”
