Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed strong support for the reinstated Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, stating that no amount of opposition will prevent him from occupying the throne.
Speaking in an interview on AIT News from 0:12, Galadima declared that those seeking to remove Sanusi repeatedly would continue to fail, as his re-appointment would always follow.
He emphasized that the will of the people of Kano and the political structure backing the emir would continue to prevail over external forces.
Galadima also condemned what he described as persistent interference from federal authorities in Kano State’s internal affairs.
According to him, efforts to destabilize the political system in Kano have been ongoing, allegedly backed by powerful interests in Abuja. He argued that these actions are motivated by personal vendettas against the Emir, rather than genuine concern for governance or legality.
During the interview, he detailed how certain political figures have manipulated court processes to achieve their aims. Galadima insisted that these individuals are known to him and other political stakeholders, and that their actions will not succeed in undermining the leadership and political stability in the state.
In his words; “We know that the courts are being directed from Abuja, unknown to the president. They know when I speak that we know them, because they have an issue to solve with Sanusi. That’s their personal problem. Sanusi is the Emir of Kano. There is nothing they can do. 10 times you remove him, 11 times we will reappoint him. So why waste your time?”
