Harris Okonkwo, a member of the house of representatives recently expressed his confidence that the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi will be given a chance to become the presidential flag-bearer of the African Democratic Congress, ADC. According to his statements which were shared by VANGUARD, he pointed out that the people knew what was good for them.
Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and ADC Chieftain has been tipped to clinch the coveted presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in 2027.
Speaking with journalists in Ojoto, Idemili South local government area of Anambra State, the former Labour Party Chieftain made a series of striking comments.
According to his statements which were made available to the general public by VANGUARD on Saturday March 14th 2026, the house of representatives member pointed out that Nigerians knew what was good for them.
The former Anambra State governor, according to Harris Okonkwo, was the preferred candidate and he will ensure that they work diligently to ensure he emerges as ADC candidate.
The decision that delegates will not be needed for party primaries, according to the house member, was good as it ensure that the former governor was well supported in order to clinch the highly sought after ticket.
