A chieftain of the Labour Party, LP, Prof Pat Utomi has taken to his official X account to react after former Rivers lawmaker, Senator John Mbata emerged as the President-General of Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
According to VANGUARD, Senator John Mbata was elected as the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo during its meeting that was held at the old government lodge in Enugu on Friday.
Reacting, Pat Utomi welcomed the ascension of John Mbata to the position. He said God still answers prayers. The Labour Party chieftain stated that he is happy for the new President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
According to Prof Pat Utomi on his official X account;
“The contention on who would be a fitting PG of Ohaneze Ndigbo from Rivers State could not have been better resolved than with the ascension of Senator John Azuta Mbata to the position. The spirit of his father clearly reached down from up there”.
