A young lady who was said to have thrown her 10-month-old child inside a river in Delta State has told the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Bright Edafe, that she did so because her friends and other women abused her and told her that the child did not have a father.

Edafe disclosed the development on his X handle shortly after uploading an interview he had with the lady, who gave her name as Blessing Jonathan and who said she regretted her decision to throw the child inside the river.
