The governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke has taken to his official X account on Thursday to reply an X user who told him to stop wasting money on frivolous things.
The X user stated that the governor is trying but he should prioritize building industries over flyovers and irrelevant infrastructures.
He said;
“Adeleke is trying but we need to understand that what the state of Osun needs at this time is industries, not flyovers, irrelevant infrastructure or fancy roads. Build more modern agricultural produce processing plants in the state. Stop wasting money on frivolous things”.
Reacting, the governor appreciated him for the feedback. The governor stated that the intercity road project is far from frivolous.
According to Governor Ademola Adeleke;
“Thank you for your feedback. I value all perspectives on how we can best develop Osun State. However, I must clarify that the intercity road project is far from frivolous.
“It addresses a 44-year gap in infrastructure that has hindered connectivity, economic activity, and the movement of goods and services within Boluwaduro and beyond. Infrastructure is the backbone of sustainable development, including industrial and agricultural growth.
“Roads like this create access to markets, reduce transportation costs, and attract investors who prioritize well-connected locations”.
