The lawmaker, representing Borno South Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly and former Chief Whip of the Chamber, Senator Ali Ndume.

has, during an interview on Politics Today from 0:10, a Channels Television program, revealed that he would have left his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), if not that he is very close to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and doesn’t want him to fail.

The Senator had said, “I told you I’m very close to Tinubu. I don’t want him to fail. That’s why I am taking these insults if not I can leave the party (APC). I will leave the party. The party has given me an offer that I can go if I want. I can apply to them to allow me to go, if they can give me approval, and I will go.”
