Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has called for the prosecution of Israeli polìtical and military leaders, branding them as part of a “criminal Zionist terrorist gang.”

In a statement posted on his verified Twitter account, Khamenei accused Israeli leaders of perpetuating crimes against humanity and called for global action to hold them accountable.

“All the political and military captains of the criminal Zionist terrorist gang must be prosecuted,” the statement read. Khamenei’s comments come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with recent escalations in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

The Iranian leader’s remarks reflect his longstanding opposition to Israel’s policies and actions in the region. Khamenei has often criticized the international community, particularly Western nations, for what he perceives as their complicity in Israel’s actions against Palestinians.

Khamenei’s call for prosecution is likely to intensify diplomatic friction between Iran and Israel, which have been regional adversaries for decades. His statement aligns with Iran’s broader narrative of supporting Palestinian resistance groups and advocating for the dismantling of the Israeli state.

The comments have drawn mixed reactions globally. Pro-Palestinian groups have echoed Khamenei’s sentiments, demanding international legal actions against Israeli officials. However, Israel and its allies have dismissed the remarks as inflammatory and accused Iran of fueling unrest in the region.
