Nigerian lawmaker and Opposition Coalition spokesman, Ikenga Ugochinyere has taken to his official X account to react after the Court of Appeal nullified the judgement that was made by the Federal Hight Court against the Local Government Elections conducted in Rivers state.
Recall that before the election, PUNCH reported that Justice Lifu, while delivering judgment in the suit brought before him by the All Progressives Congress, faulted RSIEC for fixing October 5 as the date for the election when all relevant laws guiding it had not been complied with.
According to the post that Ikenga Ugochinyere made on his official page on Thursday, Appeal Court has nullified the judgement.
Reacting to the decision of the Appeal Court, Ikenga Ugochinyere said it is a victory for democracy and redemption of the image of the judiciary.
According to Ikenga Ugochinyere;
“Opposition Coalition spokesman, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere says judgement is a victory for democracy and redemption of the image of the judiciary that the Pro Wike group nearly destroyed”.
