Allen Onyeama, the CEO of Air Peace, recently paid an emotional tribute to his late friend, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, during an event held in his honor. In a video that was shared by SYMFONI TV from 0.25, Onyeama described Ifeanyi as a man of resilience, kindness, and an extraordinary heart, someone who deeply impacted the lives of many people, not only in Nigeria but around the world.
Recalling their last meeting, Onyeama revealed that Ifeanyi had breakfast with him the morning he left for the United Kingdom. “I still remember our discussions,” Onyeama said, calling Ifeanyi a determined and forward-looking person who believed in overcoming challenges.
Their close bond was so strong that Onyeama struggled to accept Ifeanyi’s passing. He admitted that he couldn’t bring himself to visit Ifeanyi’s wife after hearing the tragic news. “I didn’t know how to face her. I was so emotional and didn’t want to break down in her presence, so I sent my wife instead,” he explained.
Onyeama shared heartfelt stories about their friendship, highlighting Ifeanyi’s generosity and selflessness. He recalled a time when Ifeanyi offered financial support for his airline business during a challenging period. Although Onyeama declined the offer, he now regrets not accepting it, knowing how generous and caring Ifeanyi was.
Reflecting on his legacy, Onyeama said Ifeanyi wasn’t just a leader who worked for the people of Anambra State but someone who served humanity as a whole. “Wherever he went, he touched lives,” he said.
Ending his tribute, Onyeama described Ifeanyi as irreplaceable and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
