Former acting chairman of the Ijaw National Congress, Engr. Charles Ambaiowei, has said only former President Goodluck Jonathan is best suited for the 2027 presidential election to lead Nigeria out of its current challenges, insisting that even Northerners acknowledge this fact.
In an interview with The Sun, Ambaiowei, a close associate of Jonathan, maintained that recent events in Nigeria point towards Jonathan’s return to Aso Rock.
He revealed that he had dreamt of former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, returning to the Villa. He revealed that he dreamt that Jonathan would become governor after the defeat of Diepreye Alamieyeseigha and that he would be president after the death of Yar’Adua, which both came to pass.
He argued that many of those who worked against Jonathan in 2015 have realized their mistake, and some have already apologized while others are expected to do the same. He also noted that the same policies the opposition resisted under Jonathan are now being implemented.
Ambaiowei added that several nations have restored their former leaders to power during difficult times, citing John Mahama of Ghana and Charles de Gaulle of France as examples. He said Nigeria finds itself in a similar situation where Jonathan remains the most suitable option, stressing that as president, Jonathan favored the North more than any other region.
