Lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu funded protests against the administration of former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2012 over fuel subsidy removal but today, he doesn’t want Nigerians to protest.

He made the statement during a question and answer segment on ARISE TV.

In the viral video that was shared online, the human rights activist accused the federal government of inviting different kind of groups to the Villa to give them money.

Deji Adeyanju claimed that their group has also been invited but they declined.

According to Deji Adeyanju;

“You funded protest against the Jonathan government in 2012 over subsidy removal, today, you have removed subsidy but you do not want Nigerians to protest. They have been calling all kind of groups to the Villa to give them money. Our group has been invited severally but we declined. We have spoken to some people in government and we told them that if they don’t want the protests to hold, they should bring back fuel subsidy. They should do the things that will improve the lives of Nigerians”….Seë_Morë
