Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), expressed gratitude to the president for his appointment, emphasizing his commitment to making a positive impact in his role. Wike asserted that his leadership is demonstrating “the difference” in governance, noting that criticism or opposition does not deter him.

Wike further remarked that capacity is essential for effective leadership, suggesting that his actions will speak for themselves regardless of outside commentary. He conveyed confidence in his ability to fulfill his duties and underscored the importance of capability in achieving meaningful results.

He said in a live coverage by Symfoni from 3:39, “I thank the president for giving me this opportunity to show them the way, to show them the difference. I am showing them the difference. If he didn’t appoint me, he didn’t appoint me. It doesn’t matter how many times you abuse me; it doesn’t matter whatever you say. If you don’t have the capacity, you don’t have the capacity. We have the capacity.”
