According to a recent video by Symfoni TV from 9:07, the Chairman of the Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers has issued a stern warning to Fulani herders amid rising violence. Speaking at a peace summit, the Tiv leader declared that herders involved in killings, kidnappings, and land grabbing cannot be separated from the criminals among them.
“If they talk like you, dress like you, and carry guns like you, then you are part of them,” he said. The royal father urged the Fulani community to identify and expel criminal elements in their midst before seeking reconciliation. “When you drive out the mad men, come and present yourselves. We will accept you,” he added.
He lamented the takeover of wards in Waye West by armed herders, displacing entire communities and destroying livelihoods.
His Words: “ You can’t deceive us. If they are talking like you, walking like you, carrying guns like you, killing us like you, how can you say you are not part of them?
So first, deal with the mad men among you and come and present yourself tous. We will accept you.”
