The police recently paraded a suspect named Kayode Johnson, also known as “Baddoo,” who is accused of killing a policeman in Ogun State. According to Muyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, Johnson is the leader of a gang of armed robbers that operates around the Ikorodu-Ijebu axis. He confessed to being responsible for the policeman’s death and stealing his AK-47 rifle, which was later recovered by the police.

In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 1:18, Adejobi pointed to Johnson and warned the public about him and other criminals. He emphasized that the police are determined to bring justice to those who harm officers and security agents. Adejobi stressed that Johnson represents the type of criminals who terrorize the Ikorodu-Ijebu area and that the police have arrested many like him. He made it clear that the police will not tolerate attacks on their personnel and will go after anyone who threatens their safety.

Adejobi also warned that the police will work with international authorities like Interpol to catch those who flee the country after committing crimes.

In Adenoids words: “These are the young ones that always terrorize our people. For people in Ikorodu-Ijebu axis you can see the face of one of them. We won’t take it lightly when you kill any of our policemen. For those who are out there attacking Nigerians and killing police officers and security agents, the IGP has said we must go after them. Anywhere they go to we will work with Interpol to make sure we pick them”
