Senator Peter Nwebonyi, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, has once again spoken out against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s claim that Senate President Godswill Akpabio harassed her. He disclosed that the National Assembly stands firmly against harassment and has made laws to protect women’s rights.

Speaking in an interview with TVC from 13:45, Nwebonyi said that as a senator, Natasha should be at the forefront of ensuring such laws are properly implemented, not falsely accusing Akpabio of harassment. He said Akpabio is an innocent man, old enough to be her father, and is the number 3 man in country. He said “herself as a senator should be in the vanguard to implement the law against harassment, not for her to use it as a weapon against an innocent man, a man that is old enough to be your father, the number 3 man in the country”

Nwebonyi said people should rise against Natasha’s accusation against Akpabio because today, the issue is between Natasha and Akpabio, but tomorrow, it could involve Natasha and someone else.
