Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, has shared his thoughts on the 2027 elections, stating that his main focus is not on seeking the presidency but on working with other political groups to help rescue Nigeria from its current challenges, as reported by PUNCH.

Obi explained that he is not desperate for power, instead, he wants to collaborate with others to build a Nigeria that functions properly.

He expressed reluctance to discuss the 2027 election but acknowledged his participation in a coalition.

He believes that any political alignment should prioritize the country’s future, with a strong focus on investing in education and addressing Nigeria’s pressing issues.

Obi’s vision for Nigeria involves ensuring that the country’s resources are used to improve critical sectors like education and the economy, rather than merely seeking political control.

His goal is to unite efforts to save Nigeria and create lasting solutions to its problems.

“I am reluctant to talk about 2027. Yes, I am part of the coalition. We are talking about working together to save Nigeria. I am not desperate to be President but to see Nigeria work,” Obi said
