Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) while crediting President Bola Tinubu with preventing his removal from office during the state’s political crisis.

Speaking from 2:41 in a media coverage by Symfoni TV, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for intervention that preserved his governorship. “We have a positive nod to leave where we are because we didn’t get any protection from the party. The reason why we are still standing is because of the president. And the truth is, without Mr. President, there won’t be any His Excellency Siminalayi Fubara. I would have been former governor, let nobody be fooled in this state,” he said.
