Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the FCT minister and former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike recently reacted after a federal high court in Abuja ordered the arrest of PDP national chairman, Tanimu Turaki. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the chairman gave false information to the police.

Many were left stunned after a federal high court sitting in Maitama, Abuja issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Tanimu Turaki, the national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

In a twist of events, the PDP national chairman who had been involved in a leadership tussle was deemed to have breached the law, following a wrong information given to the police.

This was contained in a recent post which Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike shared on his official X handle.

According to his statements, Lere Olayinka, widely known for his outspokenness and boldness, pointed out that the arrest warrant was issued after Tanimu Turaki failed to honour a court invitation.

Lere Olayinka while condemning the actions of Tanimu Turaki, pointed out that he was a self-appointed factional chairman of the PDP and does not represent the interest of the party.
