Lere Olayinka, the Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has responded to Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent call for Rivers State residents to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Olayinka acknowledged and echoed Fubara’s message of reconciliation and support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Governor Fubara, who is currently under a six-month suspension along with his deputy, had addressed the people of Rivers State, urging them to set aside differences and work together to move Nigeria forward. According to The Nation, the governor made a passionate appeal during a public statement, emphasizing peace, unity, and national progress.
“It is a time to reaffirm our shared belief that peace shall overcome war, and that even shattered dreams can find new life in the light of the resurrection,” Fubara said, in a message laced with hope and a call for unity.
Reacting to the governor’s appeal, Olayinka quoted Fubara directly in his post, highlighting the governor’s call for continued support for Tinubu’s leadership.
“Therefore, I call on the good people of Rivers State to continue to support and align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Olayinka quoted.
Fubara’s message and Olayinka’s response come at a politically tense time in Rivers State, where internal conflicts and political alignments have stirred widespread attention. The governor’s endorsement of the President’s agenda is seen by observers as a significant move toward reconciliation and national unity.
