Public affairs analyst Prince Francis Chilaka has condemned what he describes as a troubling pattern among Nigerian politicians of moving wealth overseas while citizens face economic hardship.

Speaking on Voice of the People TV from 17:41 about the legal action initiated by activist Omoyele Sowore regarding Minister Nyesom Wike’s Florida mansion acquisitions, Chilaka expressed frustration with recurring behaviors among political leaders.

“Unfortunately, Nigerians are not learning. The political class is not learning,” Chilaka stated during the interview. “When I say they’re not learning, they keep enriching foreign nations while inflicting pains, poverty and hunger on their own people.”

The analyst specifically addressed the minister’s situation, saying: “You (Wike) loot from here, you send it abroad.”

Chilaka also highlighted the methods often used to move such funds internationally. “Don’t forget that most times these funds are not even sent in their names. They’re sent through proxies,” he explained.

The public affairs analyst referenced additional controversies involving the same official. “A few weeks back, we also heard about land grabbing in Abuja that involved the same man with his family,” Chilaka noted.

He concluded by suggesting that persistent allegations often have substance. “Behind every rumor there’s an element of truth,” Chilaka stated.

The comments reflect broader concerns about corruption and the outflow of Nigerian resources to foreign jurisdictions while domestic economic challenges persist. See, More, Here>>>>
