Ojema Ojotu, a member of the House of Representatives, has responded to comments made by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, who recently announced his withdrawal from all previous agreements aimed at resolving the ongoing crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and declared his intention to continue fighting until justice is achieved.

Reacting to the development in an interview with TVC News from 0:11, Ojotu noted that when someone wants to fight and remains silent, they are more dangerous.

He interpreted Wike’s statement as a sign that he is actually seeking a peaceful resolution. He explained that when someone openly declares a desire to fight, it often indicates a willingness to engage in dialogue and find solutions.

Ojotu stated that Wike’s remarks should be seen as a call for necessary actions to be taken to address underlying issues. He voiced confidence in the reconciliation efforts led by former Senate President Bukola Saraki, stating that he trusts the committee to handle the situation fairly.

He said, “When somebody wants to fight and he is telling you that he wants to fight, it shows that the person is looking for peace. But when somebody wants to fight and he is not saying anything, then he is more dangerous. If the man says he wants to fight, it means he is looking for a platform for certain issues to be resolved. If the minister is threatening, he is trying to say that certain things should be put in place. I have hope, and I have confidence in the Saraki-led reconciliation committee, and I know that he will definitely do justice to it. There’s no political party that is free from any rancour.”
