Governor Sim Fubara recently responded to comments made by former Governor Nyesom Wike against Senator John Mbata at an event in Rivers State.

In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 8:23, Fubara said Wike and others used to wash cars for Mbata at his house. He said unlike Wike, he (Fubara) never washed cars for anyone before he joined politics. He said he was a civil servant in the Treasury Department before entering politics.

Fubara encouraged Mbata to ignore the insults directed at him and remain focused on doing what is right. He praised Mbata for having a mature mindset and urged him to continue standing for the truth, no matter what anyone says.

In Fubara’s words: “They were washing cars in Senator John Mbata’s house, me I never washed cars in anybody’s house. I was a civil servant in treasury before I joined this thing. But today they are abusing Mbata because of his stand. Please sir, you have a very matured mind. Throwaway the insults, you are bigger than it and continue to stand for what is true”.
