FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has alleged that Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has gone silent after their closed-door meeting days ago, saying he has not heard back from the governor since he left to consult the other PDP faction.
Speaking in an interview from 3:08 with TVC, Wike pushed back against the claims that taking the PDP matter to court was incompatible with reconciliation. “Now, going to court does not mean I don’t want reconciliation. The court is another process of conserving the parties. I met the governor of Bauchi State, and he told me that he was going back to meet his people and I’ve not seen him again. The court has said that the convention must go on. We can not say because of reconciliation we should not hold the convention,” he said.
Wike pointed to the APC as an example of a party that had held its convention despite internal divisions, arguing that no party could be held hostage to dissenting voices indefinitely.
He insisted that the PDP’s reconciliation process was genuine and would continue even after the convention, maintaining that the party was large enough to accommodate everyone who was willing to work within its structures. Read_More…
