The former governor of Rivers state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has stated that many Nigerians don’t like to pay tax.
This statement was contained in a post that was published on the official X handle of DAILY POST on Friday, April 3, 2026.
He made the statement while speaking about the importance of tax payment.
In the report that surfaced online, the FCT Minister said Nigerians want government to provide good roads and constant power supply but they are not ready to pay tax.
The FCT Minister said Nigerians want everything to be free and it is impossible. He said without tax, the government can not generate money to provide basic amenities for the people.
