According to Daily Post, Senator Adolphus Wabara, former Senate President and Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, responded to recent comments made by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. In a live television interview, Wike criticized Wabara, stating, “If Adolphus Wabara were my father, I would disown him,” and accused him of being unfit for his position, referencing past corruption allegations.
Wabara expressed his disappointment, saying, “As a former Number Three Citizen of Nigeria, I will not stoop to Wike’s level. It is disgraceful for someone in his position to speak without decorum.” He emphasized that, as a public official, Wike should show respect for his office and demonstrate more restraint.
Addressing the corruption allegations, Wabara declared, “I can proudly say I am not corrupt.” He also reminded Wike that public discourse should be grounded in respect for elders and facts, urging him to be mindful of his words.
Wabara concluded by reaffirming his integrity, saying, “Reckless talk harms both leaders and the institutions they represent.”
