ADC Chieftain and former Presidential aspirant Dele Momodu has challenged the political structure of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, questioning where he would launch his next campaign from to contest in 2027.

Speaking in an interview with News Central TV from 26:17, Momodu raised pointed questions about Obi’s current political positioning and party control. “Why aren’t Nigerians asking the right question? Where is Peter Obi going to run from in 2027? He told you he’s leaving the Labour Party. Is he in control of the Labour Party today? Where is Sowore going to run from?” he asked.

The ADC chieftain suggested that serious political maneuvering will intensify later in the electoral cycle, downplaying current speculation about candidate movements. “The real game will start maybe towards the end of the year, early next year. So there’s nothing to panic about. I think Atiku hasn’t told me where he wants to run from,” Momodu stated.

He dismissed claims by individuals asserting leadership of the ADC, challenging them to seek legal validation of their positions. “What is authentic about anybody coming out to blab on television that he’s the authentic chairman? Let him go to court and prove it. Let him go to INEC and declare himself authentic—then it becomes authentic. And there are always options in life. This game that the ADC operatives are playing is a different game entirely,” he said.

Current ADC leadership includes figures aligned with Atiku Abubakar, with Chief David Mark serving as interim national chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary. While Mark has denied that his executive committee works for Atiku, Peter Obi’s supporters remain skeptical of this claim.
