Idongesit Etim, a lawyer and youth ambassador, discussed President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms introduced on May 29, 2023. He explained that the removal of the fuel subsidy and the decision to float the naira initially caused concern among Nigerians due to rising costs and uncertainty.

In an interview shared by Trust TV from 6:44, Etim noted that many citizens were worried about how these changes would affect their daily lives. However, he emphasized that the president’s goal was to free up government funds for national development and infrastructure.

Over the following two years, Etim observed that public understanding improved. He said more Nigerians began to see the long-term benefits of the reforms and recognized the intention behind them.
